Thanks for checking out our new website! Take a few minutes to look around and marvel at the bells and whistles. Here’s what you’ll find here at our online campaign headquarters.

Meet Al

This is where you can learn a little bit about Al. You might know some of his story (maybe you’ve even read his books, seen him on TV, or watched one of the movies he’s written), but you probably don’t know how the story starts. Learn about Al’s roots in Albert Lea and St. Louis Park, his lovely and talented family, and how he went from performing at Dudley Riggs’s Brave New Workshop on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis to “Saturday Night Live” and back again.

Issues

Want to know what this is all about? Check out our Issues section, where you can find out where Al stands on the issues that matter to Minnesota’s families. Al’s core agenda is pretty simple: universal health care, a real Apollo program for renewable energy, accountability from our government, a strong commitment to support our veterans, and an end to the war in Iraq.

Events

There’s no better way to get involved in the campaign than to come out and see Al on the trail. On our Events page, you can find out about every bean feed, rally, meet and greet, fundraiser – if Al’s there, you can be, too. We’ve been drawing huge crowds everywhere from Nashwauk to Mankato, and we’d love to see you at our next stop. Keep checking back, as we’re adding new campaign stops every day.

Blog

News releases, event diaries, campaign announcements, and even the occasional restaurant review: our blog (which still needs a catchy name) is the place to be for all things Franken. The best way to be part of the campaign is to join us in person. The second-best way is to stay current with the blog.

Video

Usually when Al’s on-screen, the screen is a little bigger. But our Video page is where you can catch Al’s latest video podcast, clips from his speeches and events, and even Al’s announcement video (start with this one, if you ask me). And, by popular demand, Al will be taking questions from supporters, so if you’ve ever wanted to know about his position on an issue or his position on pizza toppings, here’s the place to find the answer (You can also check out our YouTube channel) . Keep checking back for more content as the campaign goes along! We’ll be adding more features, RSS, subscriptions on iTunes and Odeo, and other nifty technology that Al will probably not understand the first time we explain it to him. For now, we’re simply video-blogging on YouTube - so check it out, and check back soon.
