Vice President Gore To Join Franken At DFL Founders Day Dinner 10/4

Saint Paul [09/17/08] - The Minnesota DFL Party and the Al Franken for Senate campaign announced today that former Vice President Al Gore will visit Minnesota on Saturday, October 4 to campaign for Al Franken and the DFL ticket at the annual Founders Day Dinner.

DFL U.S. Senate Candidate Al Franken:

“Al Gore is a champion for clean energy and a good friend to me and to progressives across the country. Believe it or not, he’s also hilarious. Don’t believe me? Come to Founders Day.”

Minnesota DFL Chair Brian Melendez:

“We’re honored that Nobel laureate and former Vice President Al Gore will join us for Founders Day. Minnesota and America would be far, far better off with Al Gore in the White House instead of George W. Bush over the last eight years. Vice President Gore’s presence will remind us
all of the desperate need for change in the White House and in the Senate. We’re thrilled that he will visit Minnesota to promote Barack Obama, Al Franken, and our entire DFL ticket.”
