Sen. Franken cited Blyleven’s Hall-of-Fame caliber statistics and his two world championships in asking the baseball world, “What took so long?” Blyleven was inducted in his 14th year of eligibility. Sen. Franken also lauded Blyleven’s ongoing work on behalf of the National Parkinson Foundation Minnesota through his “Circle Me Bert” website.
